I chose the TC over other processors because it is a dedicated guitar effects unit and all the reviews I read said that it sounded great...They were right. The unit has lots of effects (I don't remember the spec) and all of them are very editable. It was a bit tricky getting used to programming the unit (it's like tha space shuttle in deep editing mode...), but once you get the hang of the basics it's pretty easy to create your own present...

I use the unit mainly to put into the loop of my amp/preamps. I haven't used it a lot for recording but you can hear it on the track "I'm Having A Strange Day" (head over to the CD page...it's on X2). That was one of the presets on the unit (a wide phaser effect). I generally just use the reverbs, delays and compressor on the unit but it also has a very good chorus, flanger, filters and pitch shifts...The reverb and delay algorythms are awesome. They are very natural sounding and transluicent. They don't coloyr the sound too much...

An absolute essential in my set up. I use it in front of pretty much all of the amps which I use, in front of my Soldano Supercharger, Engl, etc...The pedal adds an extra kick which adds and extra drive and adds a little high end to the overall tone as well...

I use one of 2 DS-1s...The one pictured at the top is a "JPDS-1". It is a DS-1 which I have modified to the Keeley spec. The tone of the pedal is a little more natural then the regular DS-1. Some of the high end is rolled off to give a warmer tone. I opted not to drill a hole in the chassis for the "Seeing Eye" part and opted to replace the main LED for an ultra-violet coloured one so that I can tell the difference...

The one below is a regular flavored DS-1...I really like the tone of the pedal and have used it for a lot of recording which I have done. I use the pedal in front of my POD as well (using an amp model).

My actual unit looks pretty beat up now!

Well, it does what it says on the box...It goes WAH...

A great sounding pedal which I have used on a few tracks. I like the sound on the pedal because it isn't too harsh. Also the optical switching system ensures "click-less" operation. Built to Steve Vai's spec and it lives up tio its reputation...

If you head over to the CD page you can hear the pedal on the track "Cool Times" on X2...

The PX4 is a unit which I use when I'm travelling. It has all the usual effects you will find on a multi-effects processor (reverb, drive, chorus, delays, etc, etc...) and also has amp and cabinet models on it as well. (including a Marshall type model, a Soldano model, a Mesa Boogie model and a few others) The amp models sound great through my baby Marshall amp but I haven't used it much otherwise...

The unit is pretty easy to program as most of the paramiter functions are controlled by the jog dial on the front and the smaller dials at the top of the unit.

A cool function on the unit is a backing rhythm track function which you can jam along to.

The unit is about the size of a small personal stereo so fits nicely into any guitar case!
