What People Have Said...
' Jay is one the most patient, professional and honest people I have met for a long time. I had given up on the dream of playing guitar at the age of 55, but he has proven to me it is never to old to learn, another client of his I met is 7 years old so from 7 - 70 Jay can teach you, his guitar prowess is magnificent and as an aged rocker I have heard some good guitarists.
Thank you very much Jay for helping me fulfill my lifelong dream'
Rodger - Saltdean, East Sussex
'Having written a song with my daughter we were keen to record it, neither of us having set foot in a recording studio before Jay was brilliant, a warm and friendly welcome his help and advice culminated in a recording that surprised not only us but everyone who's heard the track. My daughter, now having guitar lessons with Jay, looks forward to them each week learning songs that she enjoys, not like her school that still insist on teaching songs that even I can’t remember. In brief, a great place that I recommend'

| I picked up a guitar 20 years ago. Little did I know then that the 15 minutes a day I started with would soon turn into 30 mins, then an hour, then two hours, then three!!! I had a passion for and obsession with playing guitar which continues even today. 20 years on, when I pick up a guitar I'm still the kid that I was when I first started...I'm lucky enough to be a professional musician now and in addition to running my studio, writing and recording, and producing music, I also teach guitar and pro-audio at my studio, Sacred Sound.
My teaching ethos/approach is to help student become REAL Guitar Heros! My lessons are all set around what the student wants to learn and achieve - my students fget to learn the songs that they like and want to play. Complete beginners start off on a foundation course to teach them the basics, and most of them are able to play a simple song from the very first lesson! Courses for intermediate and advances students are tailored to individual needs. I have taught a lot of different styles and artists; including Jimi Hendrix, George Lynch, Neil Young, Firewind, Allman Brothers, Eric Clapton, Brian Setzer, Bring Me The Horizon, Framing Hanley, Guns'n'Roses, and Pink Floyd. The choice is YOURS :)
An addition to my teaching has been webcam lessons. These work really well and I currently have students in London and the USA whom I hook up with every week. So, if you're not able to make it to the studio then fear not, I can still teach you.
I teach at my studio Sacred Sound in-person and over webcam, all ages and levels. For more details email me at studio@jayparmar.com.
My rates are as follows:
One-on-One Tuition:
“Taster Session” (first lesson): £20.
Single Lessons: £30 per hour.
Book 5 lessons: £140 (£28 per lesson).
Book 10 lessons: £250 (£25 per lesson).
Gift vouchers are also available.
Sarec Sound is air conditiobned and I am fully CRB checked.
So if you wanna stop playing 'Guitar Hero' and BE a Guitar Hero then drop me a line...

Jay is extremely patient and puts you at ease especially when trying to cope with difficult pieces of music. He has a great range of abilities and skills and he uses these to teach you the tricks to make it sound like music and not just a string of notes.
Frank - Ovingdean, East Sussex
'Jay has been teaching my son for a a couple of years now... via Skype (web cam) since September 2008. We didn't want to lose him as a teacher when he moved out of our area; and although I was initially sceptical, the lessons are working out great! The connection is good, and they can see and hear each other well. My son is continuing to progress and loves his weekly time with Jay.'
'Jay is a really gifted guitar teacher who has the ability to connect with students of all ages and skill levels. His calm patient approach instils confidence in all who learn with him."'
Lorraine Solomons, Director, Theme Music - London
'You have been a great teacher and friend to me. I look forward to your lessons immensely. You have been very thorough and enthusiatic to me and I am on the way now to hopefully starting my own band. Thank you for all your help, from your former student'
