| A gem which I found by chance in 2001. This is a great guitar and my favourite version of the MII because of pickup configuration, i.e. humbucker in bridge position and single coil size pickup in neck position (The newer MIIs have 2 humbuckers). This is the guitar which the George Lynch signature series guitars are based on (compare it to my ESP Serpent). The neck has a slightly smaller width then on my Skull’n’Snakes and Serpent, but is still very playable.
The guitar has been modified quite a lot. The body was refinished recently with the snakeskin print (it used to be black), the bridge pickup was changed to a Seymour Duncan Screaming Demon, and the neck pickup was changed to a Seymour Duncan Cool Rails. The tone of this guitar is really nice. Very warn and lots of attack. The maple neck and fretboard look great and adds some brightness to the sound. The vibrato is an ESP licensed Floyd Rose which is made by Kahler. The unit is very stable, very smooth and responsive and has some really nice features.
I used this guitar exclusively to record my tracks on the George Lynch Tribute CD. I use it mainly as a back up now. I had this guitar strung with a set of 13 gauge strings a while back and tuned down to low B flat.
