Guitarist, composer, producer and guitar tutor Jay Parmar is influenced by acclaimed guitar players George Lynch, Steve Vai, Steve Stevens and a variety of other virtuosos and styles. Jay's own playing style reflects the elements of the 80’s virtuosos combined with exotic, eastern and contemporary sounds and techniques to create his own blend of high octane melodic guitar playing.
Jay likes to create musical textures that the listener can feel and hear, and that has established him as a world class player.
Jay released his first solo album "Strange Day" in 2005. What he created had listeners captivated. Guitarists reached for their instruments. The CD showcased Jay’s skills as a guitar player, writer, engineer and producer. Even now, the songs sound fresh and new, but retaining the essence of virtuosity of Jay’s heroes. “Strange Day” is a no compromise guitar journey.
Having stepped away from his previous career, Jay now works exclusively in music. 2009 saw the completion and opening of his recording studio, Sacred Sound. Jay engineers and produces in the studio and teaches guitar.
Most importantly work has been put into the follow up album to Strange Day. The new album which will feature vocals as well as virtuosic guitar playing and will include guest appearances by established artisist.
