The George Lynch Tribute CD caused quite a stir when it was released in September 2003...A small scale promotional drive took place and was principally headed up by me and a couple of the others guys who worked on the CD. However, word spread like wild fire and news of the CD got around to a lot of people. There are a number of websites around the world which feature links to the CD and images of the artwork...
One of the coolest parts of the whole promotional drive was getting the radio airplay. For me personally, this was a highlight as this is the first CD to be released which I have played on, the first which I have released and one which I was determined to do well because George has been a huge influence on my playing since 1988. Most notably, tracks from the CD were played on a couple of radio stations in the US and Canada... |

| On the 4 October 2003, Craig Squires, who recorded the track "Alone Again" , gave an interview and did a slot on CJSW 90.9 FM in Calgary...
On someone's recommendation, I sent Neeley over at the Classic Matal Show a copy of the George Tribute CD. Neeley has been a big fan of Dokken and George for years...The day he recieved it he emailed me to say thanks and to let me know that the disc would be spinning on his show... So, on 4 October 2003 I stayed up most of the night listening to the show. (due to the time difference between the US and the UK)...I was eventually about to give in to tiredness (listening to internet radio at 4am will do that to you...) when I heard a familiar voice introduce a song - It was George Lynch's voice. I had a feeling that the CD would be mentioned after that, and it was...This was my first ever radio play... Neeley played my version of "River of Love" Recording "River..." was very, very cool and I still jam to it. Hearing my version being played on air was pretty trippy, and not just because it was 4am in the UK when it was aired! Caroline, who sang on the song, stunned me with her voice and flawless delivery. She breathed a new life into the song and made it sound the way I had heard the version I wanted to record in my head. You can hear the section of the show if you click the link below... Okan Meric in Turkey also got in touch in October 2003. He had heard about the Tribute CD and requested a copy for his show, "Guitarist". He was kind enough to play 2 tracks from the CD, "Rain" and "Mr. Scary". Cuck Evans and Jay Savage over at FM Godzilla are two of the most awesome people I've met in the industry. As soon as my manager sent soundclips from"Strange Day" to Chuck he contacted us and requested a copy of the sampler CD. We sent it to him in Japan and "El Diablo" went into rotation immediately. Playind at least twice a day the track gathered a lot of interest, and this lead to Chuck requesting a pre-recorded interview, which also went into rotation, and a live interview on the phone with Jay Savage who hosts "Live Tracks". The interview turned into a one hour twenty minute slot during which a variety of my tracks were played. The show first aired on 3 July to promote and support the release of the CD, and was repeated a few times. I've had the pleasure of listening to the show since May 2005, I'd HIGHLY recommend that you check out the station and the shows. FM Godzilla truely are giants in the world of radio... Pulver Radio is a great station in the US which plays and promotes big name artists as well as up and coming artists. My profile and playlist has been on Pulver from JUne 2005 and my tracks have received numerous plays and requests. I reached the top 5 artists and top 5 tracks on the station with the song "El Diablo". You can find my details at the following link...don't forget to check out the rest of the site!
