The ethos at Sacred Sound is to create stunning quality music without having to incur very high studio and production costs. Our aim is to give you million dollar production without the price tag.

RECORDING

Sacred Sound is a fully digital studio, recording to hard drive, and uses super fast processors and the latest recording software and a vast array of top end plug ins to shape music to the sound that you hear in your head. We use Red 5 Audio microphones, including their acclaimed RVD15 tube condensor mic and RVD30 dynamic mics. You will be able to perfectly capture vocals, guitar and bass amps, and drums in our isolation room which has been designed and built to dimension that eliminate standing waves and give a balanced and rich sound. The whole studio is also wired using Elixir ultra low capacitance cable to provide the clearest and fullest tone and sound possible.

The studio has been used to create everything from high octane rock music, to meditation CDs, and we have even recorded an opera singer!

Our recording packages and prices are as follows:

- £35 per hour.

- 1/2 day (4 hours) - £128

- 1 day (8 hours) - £240

All ½ and whole day bookings require a 20% deposit to secure the booking. The balance is payable on or prior to the session date and delivery of master recordings.

You will need to bring your own equipment (guitars, amps, keyboards, etc). Equipment hire can be arranged, please email or call for full details.

We also offer a full production and mastering service if you have already recorded your songs and would like them to be polished to an ultra high standard. Our production packages include everything from volume balancing, panning, EQ and effects, to replacing parts (e.g. drums).

Gift vouchers are available. Please email for further details.

ONLINE PRODUCTION

Recording a song is just one part of the equation. Production contributes greatly to how a song sounds. The clarity, punch and presence of a song is carefully crafted when a track is produced . A number of technical and creative processes are carried out to make the song sound as good as possible. This includes mixing (i.e. volume balancing), panning, EQ’ing, dymnamic and time based effects, track automation, arrangements, and maybe even adding or replacing instruments (e.g. drums) and parts to enhance the overall song. We can even bring in session msuicians (at extra cost) to re-record parts if necessary.

The final process in the production process is mastering. Mastering brings everything together and polishes the track to create a professional sounding releasable quality recording.

Producing and mastering in a studio can be very expensive due to studio hire, producer’s fees, etc. It usually takes about a day to properly mix and master a song, sometimes more for very complex arrangement.

Sacred Sound offers Online Production services providing a cost effective solution to creating professional sounding songs without the high costs. Prices are as follows:

Production (full mix and master):  £175 per track

Mixing:  £150 per track

Mastering:  £50 per track

So, how does the Online Mix and Master Service work? First email us at studio@jayparmar.com or call us on 01273 252 441 and let us know what you would like done. Please including an mp3 of the track or tracks, or a clip, as these will help us assess the work required. Providing guide tracks of the sound and style that you are aiming for is very helpful also.

You can send the songs that you would like produced to us on CD/DVD, via FTP or www.yousendit.com as wav files or a Cubase or Protools LE/M-Powered session. All of the audio files should be included and parts should be separated so that they can be mixed (if a song is sent as a stereo mix then we can only master the track).

We can generally work with any quality of recording (although better quality recordings will provide better end results) If there is an issue with the recording quality then we will consult you immediately. If any parts need to be re-recorded, replaced or anything added then we will consult you prior to any work being carried out. We can replace vocals, guitars, drums, bass and keyboards. We have access to a wide and varied network of top class musicians and can arrange for parts to be re-recorded for an additional cost. Please email for further details and costs as different musicians charge different prices.

During the production process we will send you MP3 mixdowns of tracks so that you can listen to the progress made and advise on any changes that you may require. Changes can be made until you are completely happy with the track.

The reason we charge a single rate per song is so that there are no hidden or additional costs, making it easier for you to budget. If you require additional work, or musicians for the production then you will be properly consulted and any additional costs advised prior to work being carried out.

Duplication

For great service and rates we can use Digital Disc Duplication for CD replication. They provide a very professional and comprehensive service.
