I'm a serial guitarist! I play all the time! And if I'm not playing, I'm writing music, producing music or thinking about music!
Guitar playing bacame a passion of mine when I was 16 years old. Over 20 years later I'm still playing, learning and enjoying guitar. Guitar playing is a journey or me, and will be as long as I play. There is no destination, there is always something new to discover and learn, and thats the way I like it as it keeps me interested.
I started playing guitar because I was a huge Iron Maiden fan and I spent many hours each day learning their songs, jamming along to music, and dreaming of being on stage!
However, my biggest influence is George Lynch (Lynch Mob/Souls of We/Dokken). When I started really getting into playing, I heard a couple of George's songs from when he was in Dokken and I was hooked. All I wanted to do at the time was be able to play just like George! And it is something that I achived. George and I are now friends and he continues to inspire my music and what I do, but I have also found my own voice in the music that I create.
My other influences are vaired and range from guys like Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Steve Stevens, Jimi Hendrix, and a whole list of other guitarists. They all added to my playing in some way.
I've produced and released a couple of previous albums - 'Will Play For Lynch - A George Lynch Tribute' (2003) and my solo instrumental album 'Strange Day' (2005). I also appreared on 2 live tracks on the Eden's Curse album 'Condemned to Burn'. I'm currently finishing my next album 'Circle of Fire' and am really excited it. It is a change of direction and sounds awesome! Circle of Fire will vbe released in 2011.
I also toured with the band Eden's Curse in 2009 as their second guitar player - we did 2 tours of the UK in that years, the first time touring with Firewind and Stratovarius, the second time with Alestorm and The Rotted. I also appeared on stage with them at the Bloddstock Fetsival 2009 and Hard Rock Hell 2009.
I now produce, write and teach guitar at my studio, Sacred Sound, in Saltdean, Brighton, as well as over webcam.
